Submission Requirements

　You must complete your registration before the deadline of abstract submission(June 18). Online registration will be open on June 3 (Mon).
　The first and presenting author must be a member of the Japanese Society for Virology (JSV). Non-members who wish to submit abstracts should join JSV first.
　JSV membership is not necessarily required for those who belong to overseas facilities.
　International students in Japan should apply for JSV membership if they wish to submit abstracts.
　The JSV membership number is required when you submit an abstract. Please put “99999” if you are in the process of applying for membership.
　JSV membership application can be accessed from the website of The Japanese Society for Virology.

Oral (Workshop3「Sharing Curiosity」)

This workshop is going to be held based on the theme of this conference, which is "Sharing Curiosity: Making virology more exciting through the fusion of basic and clinical sciences". We would like to make this session where your presentation can stimulate curiosity of both basic and clinical researchers.
If you are going to make a presentation with following contents, please apply to this workshop. Abstracts presented in this session will be selected by the program committee.
Presentation time is 20 minutes (15-minute for presentation time, and 5-minute for Q&A).

〇Basic virologists:
- You want to translate your research findings to clinical practice.
- You can provide seeds that lead to clinical virological research.
- You want to analyze clinical samples through your basic experiment skills.

〇Clinicians:
- You want to clarify clinical questions through basic virological research.
- You analyzed clinical samples using novel experimental techniques.

Important Notice

It is not permitted to submit the same abstract as one previously published in scientific journals.
One abstract will be accepted per presenter (first author).
Co-authors are eligible to submit more than one abstract.
Only one abstract will be accepted when the abstracts from the same group are considered as one presentation.
Please include the latest research result.
The following abstracts will not be accepted: aim of study is not clear, irrelevant replication research, containing significant errors, gap between experiment and conclusion, and lack of moral consideration, etc.

Submitting Abstracts

Please read the instructions carefully before submission.
When you submit your abstract, please click on “Submit” button on the bottom of this page.
After registration, a confirmation email of your abstract submission will be sent to your registered e-mail address. Please refer to this abstract number in all correspondence regarding the abstract.
When you wish to confirm or correct your abstracts, please click on “View / Edit” button and login with ID and Password.
All notices（Acceptance/Rejection, Adoption）will be sent to First Author by E-mail.

Abstract should be briefly summarized in the following order; Background, Materials and Methods, Results, and Discussion.

Notification of acceptance

The final decision to accept or reject the submitted abstracts will be made by the Congress Chair. A notification of acceptance or rejection will be sent to each presenter by e-mail at the end of July, 2024.
